Nina Budde
Undergraduate Student at Nazareth College
Studying Environmental Science & Communication and Rhetoric
Currently I am in my senior year at Nazareth College. I'm working on my praxis in Technical Writing for Communication and Rhetoric. The current project I am working on for Technical Writing is a Student's Guide to Berlin which will be used and distributed by the German Department of Nazareth College. Berlin became an interest of mine towards the end of my Sophomore year when I applied to the study abroad program for Berlin. Now Berlin feels like a second home to me, and I hope that my guide will be helpful for other students to find their niche in the city's diverse culture.
For my degree towards Environmental Science I am taking ecology and plant biology this semester and animal behavior next semester. For ecology we have documented various species in and around Rochester; Mendon Ponds, Nazareth Campus, Isaac Gordon park, and in Honeyoye at the residency of our professor. We have studied species succession, water quality, and human impact on land ecology. For my final project in plant biology I am doing a study on the growth of basil in different mediums. Expect the study and results to be posted soon!
